I hope to work again with Tom, and EdYou, on further developments across our academy

“EdYou’s insightful input to our improvements with key vulnerable students has been outstanding.  The depth of analysis and forward thinking approaches have helped us revise our practice for the better.  With ‘fresh eyes and ears’ the programme we engaged in (working with girls entitled to Free School Meals) secured a better understanding of our students’ perceptions and barriers to their improvement; we now feel better prepared to drive up aspirations for some of our harder to reach students and families.  At every juncture there was a professional approach – from the initial eliciting of sensitive information to the guided collation of informative, usable data.  I hope to work again with Tom, and EdYou, on further developments across our academy.”

The result was a bespoke report which gave us a fascinating insight into the issues that act as a barrier to some boys achieving their full potential at our academy

“The need to speed up the progress of boys is of fundamental importance at our academy. The EdYou researcher spent two days at the academy interviewing underachieving boys from Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The boys really opened up to the researcher, and provided honest and thoughtful feedback. The result was a bespoke report which gave us a fascinating insight into the issues that act as a barrier to some boys achieving their full potential at our academy. This report has effectively set the agenda for how we will tackle this issue, and will form the basis of our forthcoming CPD day.”

I am happy to recommend EdYou without reservation

“EdYou has provided my academy, as part of a wider project with a group of local schools, with insightful and useful pupil perception feedback that has enabled us to make significant and substantial changes to our strategic approach to school leadership and management.  Tom works with sensitivity and care, engaging sometimes vulnerable and sometimes robust individuals to establish a secure understanding of their individual and collective views based against the criteria provided.  It is not just that he elicits useful responses that is of value – it is the feedback provided, and benchmarking, that has enabled me and my leadership team to reflect on our activities and make the required improvements.

Tom acts with integrity, based on a well-informed approach to effective research methodologies to secure the intended outcomes within a sound statistical framework.  I am happy to recommend EdYou without reservation.”

The support from EdYou went above and beyond my expectations

“During a day’s consultancy about the design of our Year 7 Quest Programme, the support from EdYou went above and beyond my expectations. The insight EdYou offered into producing a rigorous audit process has helped us accurately identify appropriate target groups for our programme. The knowledge that Tom had about ways in which to ‘hook’ boys in to learning and then sustain this passion was exceptional. Tom was also influential in helping me to future proof the Quest Programme so that its impact journeyed throughout school with the participants. I’m especially grateful to EdYou for offering to support the Quest Programme beyond our initial consultation – a truly invaluable service that I will continue to utilise.”

EdYou’s work has enabled an insight into how our students think and feel on a much deeper level than ever before. It has challenged the way we work with our young people and enabled us to implement innovative solutions that truly meet their needs. It is an ongoing process that is crucial to maximising the outcomes for every child.
